  • Q: Which Viakix sandals are best for hiking?
A: The Acadia model is best for hiking because it’s our most rugged sandal with extra straps for support and a secure fit on rough trails.
  • Q: Which sandal do you recommend for travel or all-day walking?
A: The Siena sandal is a top pick for travel and long walks, thanks to its comfortable support and versatile style that can handle all-day wear.
  • Q: What’s a good Viakix sandal for water activities like kayaking or the beach?
A: All our sandals handle water well, but the Siena or Cortona are especially popular for beach and kayaking since they have quick-drying straps and a secure, water-friendly design.
  • Q: Which model is best for everyday casual wear?
A: The Siena is a great everyday sandal that balances comfort and style, making it perfect for daily errands or casual outings around town.
  • Q: I want a sandal that looks stylish and not too sporty – which one should I choose?
A: The Siena or Samara models have sleek, strappy designs that many find cute and stylish, while still offering the comfort and function of an active sandal.
  • Q: Which Viakix sandal is best for someone with wide feet?
A: The Acadia sandal is ideal for wider feet, as it has multiple adjustable straps (three across the front and two at the ankle) to customize the fit for more width. Here’s a link to the Acadia sandal:  https://www.viakix.com/products/acadia-hiking-sandal-for-women
  • Q: Which sandal works best for narrow feet?
A: The Samara sandal tends to fit narrower feet well because of its snug elastic strap design that gently hugs slim feet without extra bulk.
  • Q: Do any sandals accommodate both narrow and wide feet?
A: The Acadia can fit both narrow and wide feet, since you can adjust all of its straps for a personalized fit. It offers the most customization for various foot shapes. Here’s a link to the Acadia sandal:  https://www.viakix.com/products/acadia-hiking-sandal-for-women
  • Q: Do you offer wide widths? Or Do you have wide options?

A:  While we don’t have wide options, per se, many of our sandal styles do accommodate wide widths.  Our Acadia sandal has 3 straps in the front that allow you to make the sandals wider, and our Siena and Cortona sandals use stretchy straps to accommodate wider feet as well.

  • Q: I prefer sandals without anything between my toes – which model should I choose?
A: The Acadia sandal would be best for you. Unlike our other styles, Acadia does not have a toe post/loop between the toes, so you won’t have a strap in that area.  Here’s a link to the Acadia sandal:  https://www.viakix.com/products/acadia-hiking-sandal-for-women
  • Q: Are Viakix sandals good for theme parks or long days on my feet?
A: Yes! Viakix sandals provide all-day comfort and support. Many customers wear them to theme parks (like Disney) and report their feet felt great even after a full day of walking.
  • Q: What’s the difference between the Siena and Cortona sandals?
A: The Siena has two interwoven elastic straps over the foot, while the Cortona uses a single wide elastic strap over the instep. Both have a buckle at the ankle for adjustment and share the same comfy sole, but the Cortona has a simpler strap look.
  • Q: What’s special about the Samara sandal?
A: The Samara features a multi-strap elastic design (similar to Siena) but without a front adjuster buckle, giving it a fixed forefoot fit. It’s great for those with narrower feet or anyone who doesn’t need as much strap adjustment up front.
  • Q: When should I choose the Acadia sandal?
A: Pick the Acadia if you need a more rugged sandal for hiking or if you want maximum adjustability. It’s our sportiest model with Velcro straps that let you completely customize the fit, and it offers a bit more support around the ankle.
  • Q: Can I use Viakix sandals for hiking trails?
A: Yes – especially the Acadia, which many people use on hiking trails because of its secure straps and treaded sole for good traction. For light hikes, even Siena or Cortona will do well.
  • Q: Are these sandals good for water hikes or river tubing?
A: Absolutely. Viakix sandals can get wet with no problem and dry quickly. They strap on securely, so you can wear them for river tubing, kayaking, or water hikes without worrying about them falling off.
  • Q: Are any of the sandals suitable for dressier occasions?
A: While they are sporty by design, styles like the Siena or Samara have a sleeker profile that can work with casual dresses or skirts. They’re often described as cute enough to wear out to a casual dinner or summer gathering.
  • Q: Do you offer a men’s sandal or unisex options?
A: Currently, our sandals are built in women’s sizes. Men can sometimes wear the larger sizes (since the style is unisex-looking), but we plan to introduce dedicated men’s footwear in the future.
  • Q: Are older models like Napali or Sloane still available?
A: Those older styles have been discontinued. We recommend trying our current models instead – for example, the Siena is a great alternative to the Napali. Feel free to ask us for a comparable recommendation.
  • Q: Will there be new sandal styles coming out?
A: We occasionally introduce new styles or colors based on customer feedback. Stay tuned to our website or newsletter for announcements about any new releases.
  • Q: I need a sandal for a lot of walking and also water use – which one should I get?
A: The Siena would be an excellent choice for combined heavy walking and water use. It’s very comfortable for long walks and completely water-friendly, so it can handle beach trips, rain, or water parks easily.
  • Q: Are Viakix sandals only for outdoor activities?
A: Not at all – they’re designed for outdoor performance but are stylish enough for everyday wear. You can hike in them and then wear them straight to a casual outing in town.
  • Q: Which sandal has the most cushioning?
A: All Viakix sandals share the same cushioned EVA foam midsole, so they provide a similar level of cushioning underfoot. No single model has extra padding beyond the others – they’re all designed to be comfy.
  • Q: I’m looking for the lightest-weight sandal – which model is lightest?
A: All of our sandals are very lightweight (about 1 lb per pair), and there isn’t a big weight difference between models. You’ll find any model you choose to feel light on your feet.
  • Q: How do Viakix sandals compare to other brands like Teva or Chaco?
A: Viakix sandals offer similar comfort and durability, but many customers find our straps softer and the overall feel lighter. Plus, our price point is often more affordable for the quality you get.
  • Q: What sets Viakix sandals apart from others?
A: Viakix focuses on combining comfort, support, and style. Our sandals have built-in arch support and cushioning, adjustable secure straps, and a versatile look – a mix that customers say stands out versus other outdoor sandal brands.

Fit & Sizing

  • Q: Do Viakix sandals run true to size?
A: Yes, we recommend ordering your usual shoe size. Our sandals are designed to fit true-to-size, and they even have a little extra length built in so your toes and heels aren’t right on the edge.
  • Q: Are the sandals available in half sizes?
A: We only offer whole sizes. If you normally wear a half size, we suggest ordering the next size down (since each sandal has a bit of extra room). For example, an 8.5 should go with size 8.
  • Q: I’m a half size – should I size up or down?
A: If you’re between sizes, go with the smaller whole size. Customers consistently find that sizing down (rather than up) gives the best fit because our sandals are built to accommodate that extra half size in length.
  • Q: Do Viakix sandals run wide or narrow?
A: They fit a medium width but have adjustable or stretchy straps to accommodate various foot widths. Some styles cater a bit more to wide or narrow feet (for example, Acadia for wide, Samara for narrow).
  • Q: Which model is best for wide feet?
A: The Acadia sandal is ideal for wider feet – it features three adjustable front straps and two adjustable straps around the ankle, allowing you to customize the width and fit for a wider foot.
  • Q: Which model is best for narrow feet?
A: The Samara sandal is a great choice for narrower feet. It doesn’t have a front-adjusting strap, so it naturally fits more snugly on slim feet. The stretchy straps on Siena and Cortona also contract to accommodate narrower feet.
  • Q: Are these sandals good for people with high arches or high insteps?
A: Yes, all Viakix sandals have built-in arch support and adjustable straps. If you have a high instep, a style like Acadia (with multiple Velcro straps) can give you more room, while still supporting a high arch with the contoured footbed.
  • Q: Do the straps adjust to fit different foot shapes?
A: Absolutely. Acadia has multiple Velcro straps you can tighten or loosen all over the foot. Siena and Samara have an adjustable buckle at the ankle and stretchy elastic straps that mold to your foot’s shape.
  • Q: My feet swell in the afternoon; will these still fit comfortably?
A: Yes – the straps have give and adjustability, so they can accommodate a bit of swelling. Many customers with slight foot swelling or pregnancy-related swelling find they can loosen the straps for comfort later in the day.
  • Q: I have two different sized feet. Can these sandals adjust for that?
A: Yes, you can adjust each sandal independently. For example, you can snug one foot’s straps a bit tighter and leave the other a bit looser to comfortably fit feet that aren’t exactly the same size.
  • Q: Do I need to break in Viakix sandals to get a good fit?
A: Not really – they are generally comfortable right out of the box. The straps are soft and tend to soften even more after the first wear, so a lengthy break-in isn’t usually necessary.
  • Q: Will the elastic straps stretch out over time?
A: The elastic straps will slightly conform to your foot but they’re designed to retain their elasticity. You shouldn’t see them getting floppy; they’ll bounce back and keep hugging your foot even after lots of use.
  • Q: Can I tighten the ankle strap for a secure fit?
A: Yes, all our sandals have an adjustable strap around the ankle (either a buckle or Velcro). You can tighten that strap to hold your heel securely and ensure the sandal stays put while walking.
  • Q: What if the straps feel too tight?
A: You can loosen or readjust them. If you’ve loosened everything and it’s still too tight, you might need a different size or a style with more adjustability (like Acadia). Elastic straps will also relax slightly after an hour or so of wear, easing the tightness.
  • Q: What if the straps feel too loose?
A: Simply tighten the straps or buckle so they sit firmly against your foot. If you have very narrow feet and one of the stretchy-strap styles still feels loose, you might try the Samara (since it runs narrower) or even size down if you’re between sizes.
  • Q: Are Viakix sandals available in men’s sizes?
A: Currently, we offer women’s sizing only. A man with a smaller foot could potentially wear a larger women’s size, but we do plan to introduce men’s models in the future.
  • Q: What sizes do the sandals come in?
A: Our sandals typically come in women’s US whole sizes 6 through 11 (size availability can vary by style). We don’t have half sizes, and sizes above 11 or below 6 are not offered at this time.
  • Q: Do you have wide-width versions?
A: We don’t have separate “wide” versions, but styles like Acadia and the stretchy Cortona/Siena are built to accommodate wide feet. They expand where needed, effectively fitting like a wide.
  • Q: Do you make sandals for kids?
A: Not at the moment. We currently focus on adult sizes (mainly women’s). Kids’ sizes are not available, unfortunately.
  • Q: Should I wear socks with these sandals for sizing or comfort?
A: They are meant to be worn barefoot. Most styles have a toe post, which wouldn’t work with socks. Plus, the straps are comfy on bare skin, so socks aren’t needed for comfort.
  • Q: The heel strap feels a bit loose on me – can I adjust that?
A: Yes. If it’s a buckle (Siena/Samara/Cortona), tighten it a notch. If it’s Velcro (Acadia), pull it a little snugger. The heel strap should be snug enough to keep your heel from lifting when you walk.
  • Q: I have very flat feet; will the fit still be comfortable?
A: Yes, people with flat feet wear them comfortably. The arch support will fill in under your arch, and the straps will keep your foot secure. It might actually feel more supportive than flat flip-flops since it props up your arch a bit.
  • Q: Are the sandals heavy or clunky to wear?
A: Not at all – they’re quite lightweight (around 16 ounces per pair) and not bulky. The design is streamlined, so you won’t feel like you’re wearing giant clunky shoes.
  • Q: If I’m between a size 9 and 10, which should I choose?
A: Go with the 9. Since we don’t have 9.5, we’ve built the size 9 to cover that half size. Most customers who are in between find the smaller size fits perfectly with no toes or heels hanging off.
  • Q: I’m pregnant and my shoe size is changing – will these sandals adapt?
A: Our sandals can handle some changes in foot size/width due to pregnancy because of their adjustable straps. They’re a comfortable choice as your feet swell or lengthen slightly, since you can loosen straps as needed.
  • Q: How can I be sure what size to order if I can’t try them on?
A: A good trick is to measure your foot length (heel to toe) and compare it to our size chart (available on our website). That, plus choosing the nearest whole size down if you’re in between, will usually result in a great fit.
  • Q: If I wear a certain size in other brands, should I get the same in Viakix?
A: Yes, use your normal shoe size as a guide. Viakix runs true-to-size, so if you’re, say, a 7 in most sneakers or sandals, a 7 should work in Viakix (remembering to round down if you’re a half size).
  • Q: Do you offer sizes above women’s 11 or below 6?
A: Currently, our range is about US 6 to 11 for women. We do not have larger or smaller sizes beyond that range yet. If you’re outside that range, we hope to expand our sizing in the future.

Materials & Construction

  • Q: What materials are Viakix sandals made of?
A: They are made with high-quality vegan materials: a durable rubber outsole (for grip), a supportive EVA foam midsole/footbed (for cushioning and arch support), and soft synthetic straps (either stretchy webbing or padded faux-leather, depending on the model).
  • Q: Are Viakix sandals vegan and cruelty-free?
A: Yes – all our sandals are 100% vegan. We use no animal leather or animal-derived glues. The straps and footbeds are synthetic, so you can feel good about the materials.
  • Q: Do they contain any latex (for those with allergies)?
A: No, our sandals do not contain natural latex rubber. The materials are synthetic (like EVA foam and polyester/nylon straps), so latex allergies shouldn’t be a concern with Viakix sandals.
  • Q: Is there arch support built into these sandals?
A: Yes, all Viakix sandals have a contoured footbed that provides built-in arch support. You’ll notice a gentle rise under the arch of your foot, which helps with comfort and stability.
  • Q: Do the sandals have good traction? Are the soles slip-resistant?
A: The outsole is made of treaded rubber that gives you good grip on most surfaces (even wet ones like rocks). We don’t market them as “slip-proof” on things like oily floors, but in normal use (hiking trails, wet pavement) they have very solid traction.
  • Q: How is the traction on wet surfaces or rocky trails?
A: The traction is quite good – customers often mention they feel secure on wet rocks, riverbeds, and uneven terrain. The tread pattern and rubber compound are designed to prevent slipping in typical outdoor conditions.
  • Q: What is the heel-to-toe drop of these sandals?
A: They have about a 10mm drop, meaning the heel is roughly 10 millimeters higher than the toe. It’s a slight lift (not completely flat), which most people find comfortable for walking and standing.
  • Q: How thick is the sole?
A: The sole is thick enough to be protective and cushioned – roughly about an inch at the heel and slightly less at the forefoot (due to that 10mm drop). It’s a nice balance: you’re elevated from the ground shocks but the sandal still feels low-profile.
  • Q: Are the sandals lightweight?
A: Yes, very. A typical pair weighs about 1 pound (454 grams) or even a bit less, depending on size. They won’t weigh you down, and many are surprised at how light they feel for such sturdy sandals.
  • Q: What kind of foam is used in the footbed?
A: We use EVA foam in the midsole/footbed. EVA is a lightweight, durable foam that gives the sandals their cushioned feel and helps absorb shock with each step.
  • Q: Do the straps have any padding?
A: The Acadia model’s straps are a PU leather-like material with soft padding on the underside for comfort. The Siena, Cortona, Samara have elastic fabric straps that are smooth and soft (though not separately padded, they are gentle on skin by design).
  • Q: Do the sandals have a strap between the toes (thong style)?
A: Siena, Cortona, and Samara styles do have a soft toe loop/post that sits between your big toe and second toe (it’s part of the strap design for stability). The Acadia style does not have anything between the toes – it’s open at the front like a traditional sandal.
  • Q: Are the buckles and hardware metal or plastic?
A: The ankle buckle on Siena, Cortona, and Samara is a metal alloy buckle (so it’s sturdy and rust-resistant). Acadia doesn’t use a buckle – it has Velcro (hook-and-loop) closures. There aren’t any cheap plastic buckles on our sandals; even the adjustment hardware is made to last.
  • Q: Will the materials hold up in saltwater or chlorine?
A: Yes – the sandals are water-resistant. Saltwater and chlorine won’t damage the materials (the straps won’t fray and the soles won’t deteriorate). We do recommend rinsing them off with fresh water after use in salt or chlorine just to be safe, but they’re built for those conditions.
  • Q: Do they float if dropped in water?
A: They might float for a short time (the EVA foam is buoyant), but because of the rubber sole and straps, they can eventually sink. It’s best to keep them on your feet in deep water so you don’t lose them!
  • Q: Is the footbed soft or firm?
A: It’s a happy medium – the footbed is cushioned and has a little “give” (soft feel) thanks to the EVA foam, but it’s also supportive and not squishy. It holds your foot shape and supports your arch rather than being completely spongy.
  • Q: Does the footbed mold to your foot over time?
A: Over time, the EVA foam may conform slightly to the shape of your foot (especially at the pressure points) which can make them even more comfortable. But it maintains its overall shape and support – it won’t collapse or lose its arch.
  • Q: Are the sandals zero-drop?
A: Not exactly – they have about a 10mm heel rise, so there is a slight drop. They aren’t flat/zero-drop sandals, but the drop is modest to strike a balance between a natural feel and comfortable support.
  • Q: Will these make my feet sweat?
A: The open design allows a lot of airflow, so most people’s feet stay nice and cool. The footbed material (EVA) is also slightly antimicrobial to help resist odor. Unless it’s extremely hot and humid, you shouldn’t experience any more sweating than you would in other sandals.
  • Q: Are the soles flexible or stiff?
A: The soles have a good balance. They are flexible enough to move naturally with your foot (you can bend them a bit with your hands), but they’re not floppy – they have enough stiffness to protect your foot on uneven ground and to support your arch.
  • Q: Can the straps be replaced if they wear out?
A: The straps are sewn or integrated into the sandal construction, so they aren’t designed to be replaceable like laces. However, they are very durable. If you did experience a strap issue due to a defect, it would be covered under our warranty – we’d replace the sandals for you.
  • Q: Where are Viakix sandals manufactured?
A: Viakix is a U.S. company, and our sandals are made in Asia (in high-quality factories) under strict quality control. Each pair is inspected to meet our standards before it’s shipped out.
  • Q: Are all Viakix sandals made the same way?
A: Yes, they all share the same core construction – durable rubber sole and EVA footbed – so you get the same comfort and support in each model. The main differences are in strap design and adjustability, not the basic build of the sandal.
  • Q: Do you offer any closed-toe or toe-guard sandals?
A: All our current sandals are open-toe. We don’t have a closed-toe or covered-toe design at this time, so your toes will be exposed (which is great for breathability, but you’d need a different shoe if you require toe protection).
  • Q: Where are your shoes made?
A: We are a US family-owned business, located in Massachusetts.  All our employees are in the US, but we do manufacture in China to have the lowest possible costs for our customers.

Troubleshooting

  • Q: One of my sandal straps is twisted when I try to put it on – how do I fix it?
A: Simply unfasten or loosen that strap, straighten it out so it lies flat, and then refasten it. Getting the strap untwisted should only take a moment, and then it will sit comfortably without digging in.
  • Q: The straps feel a bit scratchy on my skin initially – will that go away?
A: Yes. Any slight stiffness or scratchiness in the straps goes away very quickly. The elastic webbing softens within the first hour or two of wear, and after that they should feel very smooth against your skin.
  • Q: I got a blister after walking a lot in my new sandals – what should I do?
A: We’re sorry to hear that. It’s uncommon, but if you did get a blister, try adjusting the straps to secure your foot better (rubbing often comes from a foot sliding). Also, wear them a bit at a time to break them in. The materials soften quickly, and blisters shouldn’t be an ongoing issue.
  • Q: Do I need to break in Viakix sandals?
A: Not much – they’re designed to be comfy right out of the box. Most people have no break-in period at all. If you experience a little rubbing on day one, give it another wear or two; the straps will adjust and that usually resolves it.
  • Q: My foot slides forward in the sandal, especially when going downhill – how can I stop that?
A: Make sure your straps are snug (particularly the ankle strap and any forefoot straps). If your foot is sliding, tightening those will keep your foot in place and prevent that forward slip. On steep downhill, you may just want to double-check tightness before heading down.
  • Q: The sandals are a bit hard to put on quickly because of all the straps – any tips?
A: After the first time you adjust them to your liking, you shouldn’t have to redo all the straps each time. For buckle models, some people buckle them to the right hole and then treat them like slip-ons. For the Acadia (Velcro), once you find your fit, putting them on and pressing down the Velcro is quick. It gets easier after a couple of tries!
  • Q: The Velcro on my Acadia sandals isn’t sticking as well after some use – what can I do?
A: Check the Velcro for any lint or debris clogging it. Cleaning out any fuzz with a fine comb or a piece of tape can restore its stickiness. Also, press the Velcro together firmly when securing. If it’s clean and still not holding, and it’s within warranty, let us know.
  • Q: The Velcro straps sometimes catch on my clothing or the other sandal – how do I prevent that?
A: Make sure to securely fasten the Velcro so that the hook side isn’t exposed. If you cross your legs, be mindful of strap placement. In the rare case some Velcro snags fabric, gently trim off any fuzzy bits that formed on the strap. Keeping the Velcro area clear and fully pressed down will avoid most snags.
  • Q: My sandals squeak a bit when they’re wet – is that normal?
A: It can happen. If water gets between your foot and the footbed, a little squeak or suction noise can occur. It’s harmless and will stop once things dry out. You can also try drying your feet or sprinkling a tiny bit of baby powder on the footbed if the squeak bothers you.
  • Q: The footbed feels slippery when my feet are wet – any suggestions?
A: If your feet are very wet (or have sunscreen on), it can feel a bit slick. Rinse off any lotions from the footbed and let it dry a tad for better grip. Also, securing the straps tighter helps – even if the footbed is wet, the straps will hold your foot in place so you won’t actually slip.
  • Q: Sand gets into the sandals when I’m at the beach – how do I deal with that?
A: Getting sand underfoot can happen with any open sandal. The good news is our open design also lets sand fall out easily. You can also quickly rinse your feet and sandals in the water. If some sand sticks, just take the sandals off and shake them out – they’re very easy to clean of sand.
  • Q: My feet sometimes sweat and cause odor – how can I prevent that in these sandals?
A: Make sure to let the sandals dry out after each use (don’t leave them in a closed gym bag wet). Occasionally wipe down the footbeds with mild soap and water. The EVA footbed is somewhat antimicrobial, but if you notice odor, a light sprinkle of baking soda overnight does wonders. Keeping them clean and dry will prevent most odors.
  • Q: The ankle buckle rubs against my skin – what can I do?
A: Ensure the buckle is sitting flat and not twisted. You can try adjusting the strap a notch looser or tighter so the buckle sits in a slightly different spot (usually just below the ankle bone is ideal). The buckle is low-profile, but if you still feel it, a little piece of moleskin padding on the underside of the buckle strap can add cushion.
  • Q: One strap keeps loosening while I walk – how do I fix it?
A: If it’s a buckle, make sure the prong is fully in the hole and maybe use one hole tighter so it’s secure. If it’s Velcro, press it down firmly across the entire strap. A clean Velcro and proper press should hold. If a Velcro strap continually comes loose on its own, it could be defective – please contact us in that case, and we’ll take care of you.
  • Q: My heel slips out when I walk fast – how can I secure it better?
A: Tighten the ankle/heel strap a bit more so it cups your heel snugly. The heel should sit all the way back against the rear strap. Also, double-check that you chose the right size – if the sandal is too long, your foot may not be seated correctly. But usually, a quick strap adjustment will solve any heel slippage.
  • Q: Can I wear socks with these sandals to prevent rubbing?
A: Because most of our sandals have a toe post, they’re really designed to be worn without socks. Socks would interfere with that and the overall fit. The straps are soft enough that you shouldn’t need socks for comfort. If you absolutely need socks, our sandals may not fit well over them due to the thong-style front.
  • Q: The straps left imprints on my feet after I took the sandals off – is that normal?
A: It can happen if the straps were snug (just like how a snug sock leaves an imprint). It’s generally normal and the marks will fade quickly. If it doesn’t bother you, no action needed; if it does, you can loosen the straps a tiny bit so they’re not quite as tight next time.
  • Q: I accidentally left my sandals in a hot car and they feel a little warped – what should I do?
A: Let them cool down at room temperature on a flat surface. Minor warping often settles back once the material is cool. To avoid this, try not to leave them in extreme heat or direct sunlight for long periods. If they don’t return to normal shape or you notice any damage, reach out to us.
  • Q: Something broke on my sandals (a strap came off/the sole is separating) – what should I do?
A: We’re sorry that happened. If it’s within 1 year of purchase, it’s likely covered by our warranty. Please email us at customercare@viakix.com with details, and we will make it right with a replacement or solution.
  • Q: I have an issue that isn’t covered here – what should I do?
A: No problem – just reach out to our customer care team at customercare@viakix.com. We’re happy to help with any other questions or issues you have with your Viakix sandals.

Medical Concerns

While we share customer experiences, we aren’t giving medical advice. For serious conditions, always recommend that the customer consult with a  healthcare professional.

·         Q: Are Viakix sandals good for plantar fasciitis?
A: Many customers with plantar fasciitis report that our sandals are very comfortable because of the arch support and cushioning. Of course, everyone’s condition is different, but plenty of folks with PF wear them daily.  Here’s a quote from a customer suffering from PF, “The best sandals I have owned, I have more than six pairs. Great for those suffering from Plantar Fasciitis.” Always speak with your doctor for medical advice.

  • Q: Are Viakix sandals good for supination?
A: Many customers with supination report that our sandals are very comfortable because of the arch support and cushioning. Of course, everyone’s condition is different, but plenty of folks with supination wear them daily.  Here’s a quote from a customer with supination issues, “I am so happy with this sandal ! I have spent hundreds of dollars on other name brand sandals that wear out within 10 weeks . I have supination issues and I’ve already put about 20 sidewalk miles on ( I’ve been wearing about 2 weeks) , and very minimal signs of wear on the heels , whereas all the other sandals I’ve worn show serious heel wear after 20 miles . And the comfort is amazing !”
  • Q: Can I wear these sandals if I have bunions?
A: Yes, customers with bunions have had good experiences. The straps have some stretch and can adjust, so they tend to accommodate bunions without pressing hard on them. In fact, the Samara’s strap pattern, for example, can comfortably sit around a bunion. Always speak with your doctor for medical advice.
  • Q: Will these sandals help with arthritis pain in my feet or knees?
A: We’ve heard from customers with arthritis in their feet, knees, or back that the support and cushioning in Viakix sandals allow them to walk more comfortably. They aren’t a medical device, but the ergonomic support can alleviate some pressure on joints during daily activities. Always speak with your doctor for medical advice.
  • Q: Are they suitable for someone with flat feet?
A: Yes. The built-in arch support helps support flat feet, and the cushioning adds comfort. People with flat feet often find they can wear our sandals for extended periods because the arch support isn’t too aggressive but still offers a nice lift to reduce fatigue.
  • Q: Do Viakix sandals have enough support for high arches?
A: They do provide good arch support (the footbed has a raised arch section). Customers with high arches have said the sandals meet their support needs and are more comfortable than flat flip-flops. If you have extremely high arches, you might still need custom orthotics for long days, but generally these do a great job.
  • Q: I suffer from knee and back pain – will these sandals help or hurt?
A: Our sandals have cushioning and arch support that absorb shock and promote proper alignment, which many customers say has helped reduce stress on their knees and back. They’re certainly better than unsupportive shoes in that regard.  We offer free shipping and returns, so you can always try our sandals and return them if they don’t work for you. Always speak with your doctor for medical advice.
  • Q: Can I use my custom orthotics with these sandals?
A: These sandals don’t have removable insoles, so you can’t insert a custom orthotic. However, they were designed to be supportive on their own. Many people find they don’t need their orthotics while wearing Viakix sandals for casual use, but if you absolutely need orthotics, you’d have to use a different shoe that can accommodate them. Always speak with your doctor for medical advice.
  • Q: Are these sandals recommended by podiatrists?
A: While we can’t speak for all podiatrists, the sandals do incorporate features foot doctors often like (proper arch support, cushioning, secure fit). We’ve had positive feedback from customers who bought them on a podiatrist’s advice to get supportive sandals, but they are not officially “podiatrist-prescribed” footwear.  Always speak with your doctor for medical advice.
  • Q: I have Morton’s neuroma – will these sandals aggravate it?
A: Customers with Morton’s neuroma have mentioned that our sandals do not aggravate their symptoms. The footbed has good padding, and there’s no hard pressure on the forefoot. As always, it can depend on the individual, but some neuroma sufferers have been able to walk comfortably in Viakix.  Here’s a review of a customer with Morton’s and what they thought about our Siena sandal, “These are great walking sandals. Took my first pair to Germany and walked everywhere in comfort. I have Morton’s neuroma and Plantar Fasciitis and they worked well. Ordered a second pair in a different color So far so good.”
  • Q: Do they work for heel spurs?
A: Heel spurs often go hand-in-hand with plantar fasciitis, and the sandals’ cushioning and slight heel lift can take pressure off the heel. We’ve heard from heel spur sufferers that these sandals helped them, but results can vary. They’re definitely more supportive than flat sandals for a painful heel.
  • Q: I overpronate – will these sandals support my feet properly?
A: Yes, the contoured footbed and arch support help counteract overpronation by keeping your foot more aligned. They’re certainly better than neutral flat sandals for an overpronator. Many overpronating customers use them as their go-to sandals and feel stable and supported.
  • Q: Are these sandals a good choice for diabetics?
A: They are very comfortable and have soft straps (no rough seams), which is good for sensitive feet. However, they are open-toe, so if you have diabetes with neuropathy or require closed-toe shoes to prevent injuries, that’s something to consider. It’s always best for diabetics to check with a doctor, but in general wear, these are gentle on the feet.
  • Q: Can I wear these after foot surgery or with an ankle brace?
A: Some customers have worn the Acadia sandal after foot surgeries or with ankle braces because you can loosen the straps to accommodate swelling or medical devices. The extra adjustability and support on Acadia make it a good post-surgery option once your doctor okays moving from a medical boot to a sandal. Always follow medical advice, of course.
  • Q: My feet hurt in most shoes – will these help?
A: Our sandals are designed to reduce foot strain. If your pain is from lack of support or poor shoe cushioning, Viakix could make a big difference – many people tell us these are the only sandals they can wear all day. They cradle the foot nicely. However, if you have a specific medical condition causing pain, you might also want to consult a professional.
  • Q: Do Viakix sandals have as much arch support as orthopedic shoes?
A: They have significant arch support for a sandal – more than a basic flat flip-flop or fashion sandal. While they may not be as rigid as custom orthopedic insoles, they do provide a noticeable lift and support under the arch that most people with arch issues find beneficial.
  • Q: Are these sandals okay if I have Achilles tendonitis?
A: They might actually be helpful – because they have about a 10mm heel rise, they take a little strain off the Achilles compared to completely flat sandals. Many with Achilles discomfort wear them without problems. Of course, pay attention to how you feel; if any shoe aggravates your tendon, pause use and consult a professional if needed.

Performance & Durability

  • Q: Are Viakix sandals durable for long-term use?
A: Yes, they’re built to last. The rubber soles and strong straps are designed for active use. Many customers report wearing them daily for a whole summer (or multiple summers) and they still remain in great shape.
  • Q: How long can I expect these sandals to last?
A: It depends on usage, but under typical use (walking, casual hikes, everyday wear) you should get several years out of them. Even with heavy use, they’ll usually last at least a few seasons – the materials are high quality and don’t fall apart easily.
  • Q: Are they waterproof?
A: They are water-friendly. You can definitely get them wet – water won’t damage the straps or sole. They’ll also dry out quickly. Technically “waterproof” usually refers to keeping water out (which doesn’t apply since they’re open), but you can submerge them and they’ll be fine.
  • Q: Can I wear them in the ocean or lake?
A: Absolutely. Saltwater or freshwater won’t hurt them. Just give them a quick rinse in fresh water after ocean use to remove salt. They’re a great choice for the beach, lakes, rivers – anywhere your feet might get wet.
  • Q: Will they dry quickly after getting wet?
A: Yes. The straps (on Siena, Cortona, Samara) are made of quick-drying webbing, and even Acadia’s padded straps don’t hold much water. The EVA foam footbed also doesn’t absorb water like a sponge. Usually, they’re dry and ready to go again in a short time if left in a ventilated area.
  • Q: Do the sandals provide good traction on slippery surfaces?
A: The outsole is rubber with a decent tread, so you’ll have good grip on wet sidewalks, rocks, or boat decks. They aren’t rated for oil/slippery industrial floors, but for normal wet surfaces, they grip well. Customers often mention feeling secure on wet terrain.
  • Q: How do they perform on rocky or uneven terrain?
A: They perform very well. The sole protects your foot from sharp rocks and has grip, and the straps keep the sandal secure so it doesn’t flop around. People hike on gravel, rocky paths, and even lava rock with these and find them stable and protective for a sandal.
  • Q: Can I use these sandals for serious hiking?
A: For moderate hikes and general trails, yes – especially with the Acadia sandal, which was designed with hiking in mind. For extremely rough, steep, or multi-day backpacking trips, a dedicated hiking boot might be better, but many do use Viakix sandals for day hikes and love the freedom and comfort.
  • Q: Are Viakix sandals good for walking long distances?
A: Yes, they’re made for it. The cushioning and support allow you to walk for miles. In fact, we have customers who walk 5-10 miles a day in them (traveling in Europe, Disney parks, daily fitness walks) and they rave about how their feet don’t ache afterward.
  • Q: Will the colors fade or the material degrade in the sun?
A: The straps and soles are pretty UV-stable, so normal exposure to sun won’t cause noticeable fading for a long time. They’re also not known to crack or peel. Of course, after a year of heavy sun and water use you might see some normal slight fading, but nothing dramatic. It’s always a good idea to store them out of direct sun when not in use to maximize their lifespan.
  • Q: Do the soles wear down quickly?
A: No, the rubber soles have good abrasion resistance. You will see wear over time (as with any shoe), but they won’t grind flat in a matter of weeks or months. Even after a lot of walking, the tread holds up well. Many people find the sandals are still going strong well past a year or two before the soles start to noticeably thin.
  • Q: Are the sandals sturdy enough for everyday wear?
A: Definitely. They’re not delicate; they’re meant for daily use. Whether you’re walking the dog, commuting, or traveling, they can handle it. The stitching, glue, and materials are all chosen so that you can wear them all day, every day if you want.
  • Q: Will the straps stretch out or break with heavy use?
A: The straps are very durable. Elastic straps will maintain their elasticity for a long time and won’t stretch out of shape under normal stress. The reinforced stitching and webbing can handle tugging and pulling. Breaks are extremely rare, but if a strap ever did fail prematurely, it would be covered by our warranty.
  • Q: Can I run or jog in these sandals if needed?
A: While they’re not meant to replace running shoes, they are secure enough that you can do a short jog or run in them (like running to catch a bus or a quick beach jog). They’ll stay on your feet. For regular running workouts, though, we’d still suggest proper running sneakers for the best support.
  • Q: Do Viakix sandals come with any warranty?
A: Yes, we have a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. If any issue arises from a defect in materials or workmanship (like a strap or sole issue) within the first year, we will replace or refund your sandals. We stand behind their quality.
  • Q: Are they suitable for camping and outdoor adventures?
A: Absolutely – they’re excellent for camping and outdoor activities. They’re lightweight to pack, you can wear them around the campsite, in the water, or on short hikes. They dry out fast if they get wet and protect your feet better than flimsy flip-flops would.
  • Q: Can I wear them in the rain?
A: Yes, rain is no issue. They won’t be damaged at all by getting rained on. If anything, they’re great rain sandals because you don’t have to worry about soggy socks or leather – just wipe them or let them dry afterward and they’re as good as new.
  • Q: Will I slip on wet bathroom floors or around the pool?
A: The sandals have good grip even when wet, so you should be fairly secure. Just use normal caution (as pool decks and tiled floors can be slick in any footwear). Many people wear them to water parks and pool areas and feel stable walking around.
  • Q: Are the soles non-marking (for boat decks)?
A: Yes, generally the rubber outsole is non-marking. They are similar to other sport sandals in that regard, and we haven’t had reports of them leaving marks. They should be safe for boat decks or indoor floors without scuffing.
  • Q: Can the sandals handle hot pavement or sand?
A: Yes – the soles provide a good barrier against hot pavement or sand, so your feet should be protected (no burning). The materials won’t be damaged by heat from the ground either. Just be mindful that extreme heat (like leaving them in a very hot car) isn’t ideal for any shoe.
  • Q: Do they lose cushioning over time?
A: The EVA foam may compress slightly after extensive use, but it’s quite resilient. You likely won’t notice a big difference in cushioning for a long time. They should feel supportive and cushioned through many miles of wear.
  • Q: I used them heavily and something wore out after a year – what should I do?
A: If it’s within the 1-year warranty and it’s a defect, contact us and we’ll take care of it. If it’s normal wear and tear after a ton of use (outside warranty), you might have gotten your money’s worth. Regardless, feel free to reach out to customercare@viakix.com – we value our customers and will see if we can assist or offer a loyalty discount on a new pair.
  • Q: Do the straps or fabric parts fade or fray over time?
A: With normal use, the straps shouldn’t fray or unravel. They’re made of robust woven material. Color-wise, they hold up well; any fading would be minimal even after a summer of sun. If you ever do see an issue like fraying within a reasonable period, let us know – that’s not typical.
  • Q: Can I use these as shower sandals at the gym?
A: You can – they’re water-friendly and won’t be harmed by soap or water. However, they do have more straps than a simple flip-flop, so it’s a bit more work to put on/off for a quick shower. They also won’t dry instantly like a rubber flip-flop (though they dry fairly fast). It’s up to personal preference, but functionally, yes, they could double as shower shoes.

Care & Maintenance

  • Q: How do I clean my Viakix sandals?
A: Cleaning is easy: use a damp cloth or soft brush with a bit of mild soap to wipe away dirt and stains. For routine cleaning, a quick wipe-down does the trick. If they’re very dirty, you can rinse them with warm water and soap by hand.
  • Q: Can I put the sandals in the washing machine?
A: It’s not recommended. Machine washing (even on gentle) could weaken the glue or roughen up the straps. Hand washing is best to keep them lasting longer. Just soap them up lightly and rinse – it only takes a few minutes.
  • Q: How do I get rid of odor in the sandals?
A: Wipe the footbeds and straps with mild soapy water, then rinse. Make sure to let them dry completely. If there’s still odor, sprinkle baking soda on the footbeds overnight, then shake it out. The EVA footbed is somewhat antimicrobial, so odor isn’t common if you let them dry between uses.
  • Q: Can I dry the sandals in a dryer or with a hair dryer?
A: We don’t advise it. High heat can warp or shrink parts of the sandals. It’s best to let them air dry at room temperature. They dry fairly quickly on their own, especially if you loosen the straps and let air circulate.
  • Q: What’s the best way to dry them after water activities?
A: Just set them out in a ventilated area. You can pat them with a towel to get excess water off, then let them air dry. Avoid direct high heat like a heater or intense sunlight. They’ll be dry before you know it without any special treatment.
  • Q: Do I need to treat the straps or any material with waterproofing or conditioner?
A: Nope, no special treatments are needed. The straps and materials are all synthetic and water-resistant by nature. They won’t crack like leather or anything. Just keep them clean – that’s all the maintenance they typically need.
  • Q: How should I store my sandals when I’m not using them?
A: Store them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. For example, in your closet or a shoe rack is perfect. Prolonged direct sun or extreme heat (like a hot car trunk) can age materials faster, so normal indoor storage is best.
  • Q: The Velcro straps picked up some lint and dirt – how do I clean them?
A: You can use a fine-tooth comb or even a piece of tape to pull the lint out of the Velcro. Once it’s clean, the Velcro will grip like new again. It’s a good little trick to extend the life of any Velcro.
  • Q: My sandals got muddy – what should I do?
A: Go ahead and rinse them off with water. You can use your hands or a soft brush to gently rub away the mud. Because there’s no leather, you don’t have to worry – just wash them off, and let them air dry. They’ll be back to normal in no time.
  • Q: Will saltwater or chlorine damage the sandals?
A: The sandals are built to handle saltwater and pool water. The materials won’t corrode or break down. It’s still a good idea to rinse them in fresh water after heavy salt or chlorine exposure to get rid of residue and keep them fresh.
  • Q: The footbed looks a bit stained – how can I clean that?
A: Use a mild soap with water and a soft brush or cloth to scrub the footbed gently. Rinse it with clean water and let it air dry. That should lift most stains. Avoid anything like bleach or strong chemicals, as those could discolor the materials.
  • Q: Can I use bleach or strong cleaners on the sandals?
A: No, avoid harsh cleaners. Bleach, for example, can weaken fabrics and cause colors to fade or run. Stick to gentle dish soap or laundry detergent mixed with water for cleaning. It’s effective and won’t harm the sandal.
  • Q: Do I need to polish or treat the rubber soles?
A: Not at all. The rubber soles are maintenance-free. If they get dirt on them, just wash it off. They don’t require any conditioning or polish. They’re made to be outdoors and handle rough use without special care.
  • Q: The straps seem a little looser after heavy use – can I shrink them back?
A: If the elastic straps have stretched a tiny bit, washing them in warm (not hot) water and letting them fully dry can help them bounce back. Generally, though, our straps hold their tension well. If they’ve gotten dirty and that’s making them slack, a good cleaning might restore their original snugness.
  • Q: My Velcro ankle strap isn’t as sticky anymore – what can I do?
A: Often, it’s because debris is stuck in it. Use a comb or even your fingers to clear out any lint. Also, when fastening, press the Velcro areas together firmly. If it’s clean and still not gripping, it could be wear over a long time – in that case, let us know if it’s within a year for a warranty claim.
  • Q: Any tips to keep the sandals looking new?
A: Rinse or wipe them after going in sand, mud, or saltwater to prevent any buildup. Let them dry fully before storing. Don’t leave them baking in the sun or a hot car when not necessary. These simple habits will keep the colors bright and the materials in great shape for a long time.
  • Q: I lost the ankle buckle pin – can it be fixed or replaced?
A: If a piece like the buckle breaks or goes missing, reach out to us at customercare@viakix.com. We’ll see if we can send you a replacement part or, if not, we’ll work out a solution under our warranty. The buckles aren’t standard off-the-shelf parts, but we’ll do our best to help you get it resolved.

Shipping & Returns

  • Q: How fast is the shipping?
A: We pride ourselves on fast shipping. Standard shipping in the U.S. typically takes about 5–7 business days. We usually ship orders out the same day if ordered before 5 PM (next business day if after).
  • Q: Is shipping free?
A: Yes – standard shipping is 100% free within the United States, no minimum purchase required. You can upgrade to faster shipping for a fee if you like, but regular ground shipping is on us.
  • Q: Do you offer expedited shipping?
A: We do. At checkout, you’ll see options for Expedited (around 3–5 business days) or Priority (around 2–3 business days) for an extra charge. Choose one of those if you need your sandals in a hurry.
  • Q: Do you ship internationally?  Do you ship to the UK?  Do you ship to Australia?
A: Unfortunately we do not ship international at the moment.  So you would need a U.S. address or use a package forwarding service.  We are constantly evaluating options to ship internationally.
  • Q: Can you ship to Canada or Mexico?
A: We don’t have direct online ordering to Canada/Mexico yet. However, Canadian customers can email customercare@viakix.com to inquire about placing an order. We’re continually evaluating international shipping, but right now it’s case-by-case.
  • Q: Will I receive a tracking number for my order?
A: Yes. Once your order ships, you’ll get an email with a tracking number and link. You can click that to see the status and estimated delivery date of your package.
  • Q: How do I track my shipment?
A: Use the tracking number we email you on the carrier’s website (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx). It will show you progress (like “out for delivery” or “delivered”). If you have a Viakix account, you can also log in and see your order status there.
  • Q: My tracking hasn’t updated in a couple of days – what should I do?
A: Tracking updates can sometimes lag by a day or two. If it’s been more than 2 business days with no update, or if your package is past its expected delivery date, please contact us. We’ll help investigate with the carrier and ensure your order finds its way to you.
  • Q: My package says “delivered” but I didn’t receive it – what now?
A: First, check around your delivery area (porch, side door, mailbox) and with neighbors or building management in case it was left somewhere safe. If you still don’t see it, email us at customercare@viakix.com. We’ll work with the carrier to track it down or send a replacement if necessary.
  • Q: Can I change or cancel my order after I’ve placed it?
A: If you reach out immediately after ordering, we’ll do our best to catch it. We process orders quickly (often within hours), so if it hasn’t shipped yet, we can usually modify or cancel it. If it’s already shipped, we can help you with a return instead. For the fastest help, email customercare@viakix.com as soon as possible.
  • Q: What is your return policy?
A: We offer free, no-questions-asked returns within 30 days of delivery. If the sandals weren’t right for you, you can send them back for a full refund or exchange. We just ask that they’re in unworn condition (like you only tried them on) with original tags/packaging if possible.
  • Q: Is return shipping free?
A: Yes – we provide a prepaid return label at no cost for your first return (for one pair of sandals) in the U.S. If you are returning multiple pairs from one order, the first pair ships back free and there may be a small charge for additional pairs.
  • Q: How do I initiate a return or exchange?
A: You can start the process through our online Return Portal on the Viakix website. It’s simple: enter your order info, choose whether you want a refund or exchange, and you’ll be able to print out a return shipping label immediately. Or, if you prefer, email us and we can help set it up for you.
  • Q: How long does it take to get a refund?
A: Once we receive your returned sandals and ensure they’re in good condition, we process refunds typically within 2–3 business days. After we issue the refund, it may take a few days for your bank or credit card to post it back to your account.
  • Q: Can I exchange for a different size or color?
A: Absolutely. Our exchange process is also free within 30 days. Just indicate that you want an exchange (and which size/color you need) in the Return Portal or to our customer service, and we’ll ship out the new pair. We’ll provide a return label for the original pair as well.
  • Q: What if I’m just past the 30-day return period?
A: Contact us anyway if it’s not too far past. We often grant an extension, especially if the sandals are unworn and in original condition. We want you to have something you love, so we try to be flexible (within reason, e.g., 40-50 days).
  • Q: Do I need the original box and tags for a return?
A: It’s best if you have them, as the sandals should be in resalable condition. If you removed tags but didn’t wear the sandals out, it’s okay – pack everything securely in any box. We mainly need the sandals to be in new condition. If the original box is gone, just use any sturdy shipping box to send them back.
  • Q: Is there a warranty on the sandals?
A: Yes – your purchase is 100% guaranteed. We have a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty covering any product defects. If a strap, buckle, or sole fails due to a defect within a year, we will replace or refund your sandals.
  • Q: What does the warranty cover?
A: The warranty covers manufacturing defects or quality issues – for example, straps pulling out, stitching issues, sole separation, etc., that occur with normal use. It doesn’t cover general wear and tear (like if you’ve worn the tread down after a year) or damage from misuse.
  • Q: How do I claim the warranty if I have a defect?
A: Just email customercare@viakix.com with your order info and a description of the issue (photos are very helpful). Our team will review it and, once confirmed, we’ll send you a brand new replacement pair or arrange a solution right away at no cost to you.
  • Q: I bought my sandals from Amazon (or another store). Can I still return or exchange through Viakix?
A: If you purchased through our official Amazon listing or an authorized retailer, the 1-year warranty still applies (you can contact us for warranty issues). For returns/exchanges, you’ll need to go through the seller you bought from (e.g., Amazon’s return system) within their return period. But don’t hesitate to contact us if you need guidance or have any issues – we’re here to help.
  • Q: Do you ship to APO/FPO military addresses or P.O. boxes?
A: Yes, we can ship to P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses via USPS. Just use your APO/FPO or PO box as the shipping address at checkout. (Keep in mind expedited options might not be available for those addresses, but standard free shipping will work.)
  • Q: What carriers do you use for shipping?
A: We use reputable carriers like USPS, UPS, and FedEx. The choice of carrier depends on your location and the shipping option you select. You’ll see the carrier on your tracking info once it ships.
  • Q: Do I have to pay sales tax?
A: Sales tax is applied at checkout where required by law (it depends on your state). The cart will show any tax before you complete the purchase. There are no hidden fees beyond that.
  • Q: Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
A: Yes – we want you to love your Viakix sandals. If you’re not satisfied for any reason, let us know and we’ll work to fix it, whether that’s through an exchange, return, or any other reasonable accommodation. Your happiness with our product is our top priority.
  • Q: Where do you ship from?
A: Our products ship from fulfillment centers in the United States. We have warehouses that ensure quick delivery to U.S. customers, so your order isn’t coming from overseas – that’s why you get it in days, not weeks.
  • Q: Do you have a physical store or showroom where I can try them on?
A: We currently sell primarily online and do not have our own brick-and-mortar store. However, with our free return policy, you can effectively “try them on at home” and send them back if they don’t work out for you, no risk.
  • Q: Do you ship on weekends or only weekdays?
A: Our warehouse ships out orders on business days (Monday through Friday). Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on Monday. So if you order Friday night, it will ship out Monday (or Tuesday at the latest).
  • Q: Can I pick up my order directly from your warehouse?
A: Sorry, we don’t offer local pickup. All orders must be placed online and will be shipped to you via our carriers. Our warehouses aren’t set up for customer pickups for safety and efficiency reasons.
  • Q: What if I need the sandals for a trip by a certain date?
A: If you’re on a deadline, we recommend choosing an expedited shipping option at checkout to ensure faster delivery. You can also email us with your timeframe – we’ll do everything we can to expedite processing on our end. Generally, Priority shipping (2–3 business days) is the safest bet if you have a trip coming up soon.

Style & Fashion

  • Q: What color options do Viakix sandals come in?
A: It depends on the style, but generally we offer both neutrals and fun colors. Common options include black, gray, navy blue, and beige (neutral tones that go with everything), as well as brighter options like teal, pink, or olive in some models. Each product page will show the colors available for that style.
  • Q: Will you be offering new colors soon?
A: We do occasionally add new colors or bring out limited edition shades based on customer feedback and seasonality. Keep an eye on our website or subscribe to our newsletter – we announce new color releases there.
  • Q: Can I wear these sandals with dresses or skirts?
A: Yes, definitely. Many customers pair their Viakix sandals with casual summer dresses or skirts. Styles like the Siena or Samara have a slim, cute look that works great as a dress sandal for informal occasions, while giving you a lot more comfort than a typical dress sandal.
  • Q: Do Viakix sandals look bulky on your feet?
A: No, they’re actually designed to be low-profile and flattering. The soles aren’t overly thick and the straps are thoughtfully placed, so they don’t give that oversized, clunky sandal look. They tend to look sleek and sporty on the foot.
  • Q: Are these sandals in style?
A: Sporty outdoor sandals have become quite fashionable, and Viakix sandals fit right into that trend of combining comfort with style. You’ll see people wearing them not just on trails, but also as everyday wear because the look (especially in neutral colors) can complement a casual outfit nicely.
  • Q: Can I wear Viakix sandals for everyday city outfits?
A: Absolutely. They don’t have to be limited to hiking or the beach. They look great with jeans, shorts, leggings, and other casual city wear. You get the benefit of comfort on concrete sidewalks while still looking stylish in an urban setting.
  • Q: What kind of outfits do these sandals go well with?
A: They’re very versatile. You can pair them with activewear (hiking pants, athletic shorts), casual wear (jeans, capris, t-shirts), and even summer casual dresses. For example, wear Siena sandals with denim shorts and a tank top, or Samara sandals with a sundress – both would look cute and cohesive.
  • Q: Are these only women’s styles, or can men wear them too?
A: The designs are targeted to women’s tastes (with color choices and sizes for women), but there’s nothing overly gender-specific about them. They have a sporty unisex look. Men who can fit into the available sizes sometimes wear them, but we do label them as women’s sandals officially.
  • Q: I’m older – will these sandals still look good on me?
A: Certainly! These sandals are worn by all age groups. They’re not overly youthful or flashy in design – they’re sporty and practical which appeals to many. We have customers in their 60s, 70s (and beyond) who love the look and feel of our sandals. They’re basically ageless in style.
  • Q: Can these sandals transition from outdoor adventure to a casual evening out?
A: Yes, they can. For example, you could wear them on a daytime hike or sightseeing, then head straight to a casual dinner. They are sporty, but they also have a clean, stylish design that doesn’t look out of place in a casual restaurant or at a summer BBQ.
  • Q: Do they have any decorative elements or are they purely functional-looking?
A: The aesthetic is clean and functional. We don’t add decorative buckles or jewels or anything like that – the style comes from the color patterns and strap design. So they have a sporty elegance rather than dainty decorations. Many would say the design itself is stylish in its simplicity.
  • Q: Will wearing these sandals make my feet look big?
A: No, since they fit close to your foot and are not overly chunky, they generally make your foot look true-to-size or even a bit smaller compared to some thick athletic shoes. The straps are positioned in a flattering way. Unless you choose a very bright color that stands out, they actually kind of slim the appearance of the foot.
  • Q: Are bright colors like pink or turquoise available if I want a fun look?
A: Yes, depending on the model, we have offered colors like fuchsia (pink), aqua/turquoise, and sometimes a purple or coral. Check the particular style you’re interested in – if you want a pop of color, there’s likely an option for you. If not currently, stay tuned, as we may introduce more fun colors.
  • Q: Can I wear them with socks (for the socks-and-sandals trend)?
A: Because of the toe post on most models, wearing socks isn’t very practical (the sock would have to go between your toes). They’re really designed for bare feet. So while the socks-and-sandals trend is a thing, it doesn’t quite apply here – these look and feel best without socks.
  • Q: How do Viakix sandals blend fashion with function?
A: Viakix sandals are a great example of athleisure style – they give you the comfort and support of an athletic sandal, but they’re streamlined enough to look fashionable. You’re not sacrificing style for comfort; you get both. Many people get compliments on their Viakix sandals because they look more attractive than the average hiking sandal.
  • Q: Are Viakix sandals only for casual wear?
A: They are casual in nature (you wouldn’t wear them to a formal event), but within the casual and outdoorsy realm, they’re quite versatile. You can wear them traveling, to the farmers’ market, on a light hike, at a picnic, or even a casual work environment if open-toe shoes are allowed. They fit into any relaxed setting.
  • Q: Will I get tan lines from the sandal straps?
A: If you wear them for extended periods in the sun, you may get some tan lines in the pattern of the straps (just like any strappy sandal). The straps on styles like Siena/Samara are relatively thin, so the tan lines would be modest. It’s a small trade-off for keeping your feet cool and supported!
  • Q: What color is the most versatile to match outfits?
A: We find that black and gray are the most versatile – they go with almost any outfit without drawing attention. Beige/tan is another great neutral that blends with your skin tone and outfits. If you want one pair to match everything, go with a neutral shade like those.
